The Lafayette Public Trust Financing Authority has established a grant program to provide funding for projects in the City or Parish of Lafayette that meets the goals of the Mission and Purpose of the Trust. Applications for the Grant Program should serve important needs in the community such as the arts, education, environment, health, housing and human services. The LPTFA will aid potential grant applications in shaping proposals that meet the Mission and Purpose of the Trust and identify opportunities to leverage LPTFA funding with other funding sources. The following types of project will not be considered for funding:
- endowments
- projects that influence specific legislation or election campaigns
- medical research
- private education and religious organizations except for programs that serve broad community needs
- fundraising events, the purchase of tickets for benefits, courtesy advertising
- higher education scholarships
