Joan SavoyVice Chairman

Joan Savoy holds a BS in Nursing from Dillard University and has done graduate work in Public Health Administration at Tulane University.

She has worked for a number of nonprofit organizations in operations and management and fund development. She is currently the executive director of the Lafayette Land Revitalization Authority, a non-profit tasked with returning blighted properties to productive use. She has also been the executive director of the Miles Perret Cancer Services which serves a twelve parish region. She coordinated eight major special events, generating $420,000 in revenue in one year. As the executive director of the Chamber Foundation she focused on identifying available resources for hurricane recovery and writing grant proposals. She was vice president for Community Development for the New Orleans Regional Chamber of Commerce and was Director of Operations for the United American Healthcare Plan of Louisiana.

Joan has been on the LPTFA Board of Trustees since June of 2014.
